Interesting selection! - such a variety of origins there.
Aleyn, Dolyn, Finlo, Gilno, Calybrid, & Cristen are all still in use on Man, or have at least one living bearer. Finlo still seems fairly popular - I like it.

All those male Gil- people, and female Caly- people! I take it the Gil is a form of ghillie; is Cal- perhaps a fem variant? This is my first personal sighting of an Ibott! Presumably Isott is a variant.Any ideas about Fynlo and Bahee? And Vorgell!I really like Aleyn, Galfrid and Jenkyn.

According to the original site, Gil- and Caly- were devotional names to saints, with the second part of the name representing the saints' names. And yes, they're male and female variants. :)Apparently Vorgell is a variant of Borghild - there were Norse influences on several Manx names. Not sure about the others but another poster said Finlo still seems popular there.

Not sure about the pronunciation of Nele, the page didn't specify. An article on namepedia marked Nele (m, Manx) as a variant of Niall, which makes me think it might be "neel" or maybe "neel-uh".
