Re: It's finally my turn to decide on a name!
Penelope: Geeky, but becoming more popular because of the Kardashian kid. I don't like the idea of the teasing name Pee-pee which I just know is bound to happen. I do like the nicknames Penny and Nell, though.
Eleanor (Ella): LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Though, personally, I prefer Nell or Nora as a nickname.
Gloria (mn only): Not my style but good enough.
Joy (mn only): Okay, becoming filler.
Noel: Very masculine looking to me. Whats wrong with Noelle?
Willa: Not my style, but cute. I would definitely turn down a Wilhelmina though.
Suri: Too pop culture.
Adelaide: Pretty, but prefer the short and sweet Ada.
Adya: Too difficult for people to figure out. Ad-jah, Ad-jee-uh, Ad-ee-uh, etc.
Britta: Filter
Britain: No
Brooke: Super dated to me.
Cameron: Masculine in my eyes. When used on a girl it looks trendy. I've seen Kamerons and Kamryns and Kameryns, etc.
Camilla: Pretty, but too Parker-Bowles for me to consider seriously.
Claire: Never my style. All the Claire's I have known have been very boring. I prefer Clara.
Colby: Ugh, yuck! On a girl?! No!
Cora: Gorgeous. I can also stand behind Coraline and Coralina which are frillier, which might go along with your girly-girl like. You could also use Corabella, though its not my style.
Daisy: Duck. Also very UK popular.
Ella: Too popular, but cute.
Eva (ee-vuh): Cute. Love with the nickname Evie.
Holland: Gross. I know a Holland who is about 7. Its just so trendy.
Imogen: Cute. I was just about to say you might also like Ingrid, but I see her right below! :)
Ingrid: I like it, but you probably won't get a good reception from non-name nerds.
Ivy: Pretty, uncommon. I've also recently seen Evy which would be a cute combo of Ivy and Eva.
Joby: What is this? No.
Juliette: Pretty, but prefer Julietta because I could use the nn Etta which I think is so old-time chic.
Lorelei: Not my style.
Lyla: Cute, but prefer the spelling Lilah. You may also like strays away from all Myla, Kyla, Nyla, Skyla.
Macy: I would have said yes until Teen Mom.
Madalena: Cute. That being said, I would worry about her being one of the many Maddies of the group with the popularity of Madeleine.
Paige: Dated to the 90's in my opinion. I put it in the category of Paisley.
Rory: Love on a boy, not on a girl.
Sabra: Isn't this a car name?
Thora: Cute. You may also like Thea?
Percy: Far too geeky and pretentious for me. He's in the realm of Preston and Benedict.
Jude: Super LOVE.
Benedict (mn only): Haha, see Percy.
Linus: I really like it, but I was a huge fan of Linus from Peanuts. I have heard people mention it looks close to the word Penis. :/
Emmanuel (mn only): Okay. I feel like this name could grow on me. Like it MUCH better in the mn slot as you have it because I really dislike the nn Manny.
Adael: No frame of reference for me. This is literally a blank name for me.
Adiel: Better than Adael.
Asher: Okay.
Azriel: For some reason, this makes me think of Lucifer.
Ezra: Love. Though, keep in mind, I have heard people say it looks feminine.
Simon: Okay, kind of dorky. I picture Simon from The Chipmunks.
Arlo: Very hipster.
Edmund: Love it, but only as a mn because I had the nn Ed and as much as I love Ned I just don't feel it would catch on because Ed is such a go-to nn here in the US.
Ephraim: LOVE
Ezekiel (mn only): I like it. Too bad its as a mn because you could use the spunk Zeke as a nn.
Ilia: Like. You may also like Ilham, Ilya, and Elia.
Lucius: Very Harry Potter, unfortunately. Its a good name otherwise.
Quinn: I like this name and much prefer it on a boy as you have it. BUT, be aware that it is gaining huge popularity with girls. He may be the male Tiffany of the group soon.
Reuben: Okay, but be prepared for CONSTANT sandwich references. Seriously, you can't get away from it.
Raphael (mn only): Never my style, but I can see how people would like the connection with the angel and the painter.
Reuel: Cool. You wouldn't see this often. I like it.
Shiloh: Gaining popularity amongst girls, though I much prefer it on a boy.
Silas: LOVE. However, I might hold onto this one for a year since Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel used it and see what jump in popularity it might have before you make a decision to use it. Just my advice. But, its a great name regardless.
