Yes, it is, and what happens is people just say "August' shoes" and "Augus'toys" and they don't even think about it, everyone hears what they mean and not what they say. It works OK. A lot of names have these issues. I think you're just thinking about it too hard. If it bothers you too much, maybe you are just not that comfy enough with the name in general.Beth's still at it.

I agree. August has been my favourite boys' name for over five years now, and this has never bothered me much.
