It is more common for a female to have a "male name" than for a male to have a "female name". In the US, unisex names are more easily applied to females than males. If you would feel at least partial guilt in any name, I would not use it. However, if you feel good about a name--without guilt or regret, then use it. In America, a male with the name Evelyn would be uniquely distinct, which may be difficult especially throughout childhood. If you were to use either Darcy or Evelyn, what about Thomas as a first or middle name?
