I would like to say, I have no intention of using the above names for boy/girl, just was interested in making a list of ones I thought might 'pass' as gender neutral, besides the more traditional ones such as Charlie, Hayden, etc.

I think none of the boys names you mentioned are possible for a girl. Sorry.Briseis, Elrose and Jade may be possible on boys.

Cassandra, Cassia, & Charisse are girl names I'd favor, and Toby would be interestingly unique yet charmingly casual as well. Amaryllis & Briseis would be welcome additions to the male repertory, bearing in mind that Amaryllis may be nicknamed "Mary" and that Briseis may be nicknamed "Bree" or "Bris". There would always be a few boys by the name of Mary or Mary/Marie derivatives. Constance is fine but I wonder about the possible nicknames of "Connie" - otherwise "Stan". Carol is already somewhat of a common name for boys. My favorites are Cassandra, Cassia, and Toby; as well as Amaryllis (I would welcome this as a boy's name!) - as well as Briseis: Carol already is a great name for males.

Charis (though I don't like any of these three)
Clarisse (though I don't like it either)The only one of those names I think would really fit on a girl is Toby.Carol and Constance sound okay for boys. Possibly Elrose as well, though I don't think I've ever heard it before. Xanthe could be unisex, but I just don't like it at all for anyone.

AdelinaAlban (though I wouldn't use either)AngelineAugustAsherAlexis (though this seems more feminine than masculine to me)BellaBronwenCasperCassandraCerysClarisseSterling is the only one of the "hypothetical girls' names" that I can picture on a girl, probably because it reminds me of sterling silver. And while I know Marie / Maria can be used in some male combos in some cultures (French, Spanish, etc.), I absolutely can't think of either as anything but a feminine name.On my own PNL, I have both Morgan and Rowan listed solely as male names, though a lot of other BtN posts have listed them as female names.

AdelaAubinAngelineAugustusAshley (on a boy!)Alexis (but my pic would be Alexei)BelleBranwenCaspianCassia (pronounced cass-ee-ah rather than sh)CerysClarisseNo to all of those being used on the opposite gender. They are all strongly gendered for me. Except maybe Constance and Elrose. I could see them being used on boys, in a Puritan, surnamey-sort of way.

Are the ones on the first list supposed to be gender neutral? I like for girls:
Adela - I also like Adeline, but I wonder how most people pronounce it.
Angela - I find all the other Angel- names too frilly.
Bella - Though I find both cheesy.
Bronwen - Yay for feminine spelling!
Cassandra
Cerys
Clarisse - prefer spelled Clarice though. Alban
August - Augustin is a close second.
Asher - unless you mean for a girl, then Ashley.
Alexis - I love Aleksey, but I don't think this is the most intuitive spelling in English
Casper
Also, what do you think of the following used as girl's names? Ugh, None!
And the following on boys?
Carol - Maybe a bit hard to pull off today, but I've known male Carols.
Elrose - I've never heard of this before, but it seems like a surname so I don't know why it wouldn't work for a boy.
Jade - I see this as completely unisex.
Marie -I wouldn't recommend it as a first name in the Western World, but Marie is used as a male name in many languages.

Adeline -I love names that end in 'line'!
Alban -I don't really like it, but it's much better than Aubin.
Angelica -It just sounds the prettiest.
August
I'm pretty sure this is for a boy so I'll say Asher. If it was a girl it would be Ashley.
Alexis -But I like it only for a girl.
Bella, definitely.
Bronwen -Branwen reminds me of bran muffins.
Casper, even though they're all nms.
Cassandra, but this was a hard choice!
Carys
Clarisse -I love 'Cla' names. The only ones I could see at all on a girl would be Toby and Sterling.
I could see Briseis, Amaryllis, Elrose, and Jade on a boy.

Adeline -- So pretty Have you heard Ballade pour Adeline? It's a beautiful piece of music. This is the version I'm most familiar with: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMuKw1NYpjsAlban -- A step away from Albany, which I'm very fond of.Angeline -- Bold and delicate. August -- My favourite boys' name for five years now. I love it endlessly. Asher -- Like Arthur Miller. I like it. Aleksey -- Very noble. Definitely do not like Alexae. Belle -- Bella is angry and brash. Belle is softer yet still bold. Bronwen -- Old favourite, helped by the Welsh side of my family. Caspian -- Difficult choice. I could prefer Casper or Kacper tomorrow. I'm very fond of Kasper, too. Cassandra -- Cassia is too... "eh." Carys -- Not a fan of any, but Carys feels more natural to me.Clarisse -- See Carys.Ezra on a girl is a massive pet peeve of mine. Not a fan of any of the others, either. I had a friend who was convinced Iris was a boys' name, despite my reminding her at every possible opportunity that it actually definitely wasn't and that I had an eccentric aunt with the name, which I do. Idris for a boy is cute, though. I've seen Marie and Carol on boys, too, but I'm neither here nor there on it.

Adelina - so much more delicate and pretty IMO than any other "addle" name. Ah-deh-LEE-na vs. uh-Della and Addle-line.Alban is nice. Aubin is odd.Angela. Angeline seems prissy, Angelique too French for me to say right, Angelica too "angelic"Augustine is cool.Asher is a real firstname, unlike Ashton and Ashley which are trendy surnamesAleksey - hyperrussian
Alexis - OK for a woman
Alexae - wth.Bella is much namier than Belle.Branwen vs. Bronwen - I think Bronwen sounds more pleasant. Both are nice.Casper - actually Caspar.Cassandra, Cassia - I like both.Cerys is more usable IMO than Charis, and prettier than Carys. I say Charis and Carys "CAR-iss" and Cerys "CAIR-iss"Clarisse is nice; I prefer Clarice. Charisse evokes Syd Charisse - so 70s.on girls
Amadeus - no, it's a masculine form .. Amadea would be nice.
Brandon - hahah! no. I like Brandy, though.
Barclay - ugh. Makes me think of banks and cigars and stuff.
Clay - possible. Not appealing to me personally
