Hogan
Last night we helped out at a church event. We are new to this church. The youngest person attending was a 20-month-old named Hogan. I've never heard Hogan as a name.Your thoughts?

I like it even though it reminds me of Hulk Hogan. I've always liked his last name, lol.

I inevitably think of Hogan's Heroes, which I saw a couple other people mention in the comments. It's a surname to me, not a first name.

This was my sister's ex-Boyfriend's surname.

I think of Hulk Hogan. I don't like it at all.

Same here.Hogan as a first name and especially on a child is just awful! I really don't like it. Logan would have been a significant, significant improvement and hopefully when the kid grows up, he decides to use Logan instead or at least his middle name if he has one

My first and only thought was Hogan's Heroes (old TV show), until I read the comments. Those reminded me of the wrestler. I did some other things on the computer before coming back to this to respond, and when I did, I thought about the name outside of old pop culture associations. As it turns out, I still don't like it as a name. It makes me think of hoagies (sub sandwiches).

I knew it was a sandwich or something like that, but I couldn't quite remember! But yes, hoagie. Thank you.

It's a surname in my mind. Hulk Hogan, Happy Hogan. Feels really strange as a given name, especially on a child. Hogan should be a large muscular man good at punching/headlocks. And it should be his surname. :PHogun, on the other side, is the stoic Asian friend of Thor and Sif.
