Names for siblings
What do you think of Aidan, Emily, Anders, Alyssa, Declan, Sophie, Ronan and Kaitlyn/Kaitlin as siblings? Out of Kaitlyn and Kaitlin only, which spelling goes best? please don't suggest Caitlin or Katelyn as those spellings aren't wanted for personal reasons.

I like Aidan, Emily and Alyssa the most, though I prefer Aiden/Emilia/Amelia/Alissa.Anders, Sophie and Ronan are OK.
I really dislike the harsh pronunciation of Anders.
Sophie is a little old fashioned to me, therefore I prefer Sofia/Sophia which I really like!
Ronan may have a nice sound, but I think it's quite boring.I dislike Declan and Kaitlyn/Kaitlin. Declan is like a priest's name and Kaitlin no matter which spelling is so over-used. And I especially don't like the fact that there are SO many different spellings of this name. I can't even decide whether I like or dislike Kaitlin or Kaitlyn more. They're both equally lame, sorry. When it comes to the question whether I think a sibset is matching, I usually look for the names' origin. To me there is nothing worse than matching an Irish name with a Spanish one or an Italian with a purely German name. That's just wrong. Therefore I say Aidan, Declan, Ronan, Emily, Alyssa and Sophie make up the best match.Anders doesn't really go with any of the other names since it has a very different (Nordish) origin.

The only ones I think don't go with the rest is Anders and Ronan. They just don't flow with the others to me.I prefer the spelling Kaitlyn

Anders seems to be the odd sib out. Why not Andrew?Alyssa is dated and Emily is overused. So is Aidan. Declan and Ronan are uberCeltic. Sophie is fine; pretty universal. Kaitlyn and Kaitlin are uniformly horrible-looking as well as being dated.

Anders is being used to honour Andrew, can't have two people in the family with the same name. Some names may be dated but the way to make them non dated is to use them. Naming style varys yes but prefer to use names that are loved.

In my honest opinion: Anders sticks out by a mile. The other names are all classic and well known with I feel that Anders is more surname turned first name fad. (Not that I have a problem with surname inspired names. In fact, I am personally a fan of many) anders just sticks out; I can't really explain the reason in further detail, it just does.the rest go great togetherI think a name like Andy would fit in more. Aidan, Emily, Andy, Alyssa. Declan, Sophie, Ronan & Kaitlyn (I normally hate Y spellings; Kaitlin just doesn't look as nice)

I think either would go fine with the others. I like Kaitlin better, but looking at the other kids' names, it looks to me like you'd prefer Kaitlyn.

There are a lot of A-names there: Aidan, Anders, Alyssa. Could get confusing with initials.Aidan - I love this name, but I'm annoyed it's so popular now. It is, however, my (much) preferred spelling out of Aidan, Aden, Aiden, Adyn, Ayden, etc.
Ronan - kind of love this name, though it makes me think of Ronan the Accuser from 'Guardians of the Galaxy'.Emily, Sophie, Alyssa, and Kaitlyn / Kaitlin feel very "normal" next to Ronan and Anders. Sort of like the whole Aerith and Bob trope. Declan feels like it's in its own little "quirky" category.Kaitlyn vs Kaitlin: I prefer Kaitlyn, but only by a little; Kaitlin is fine too. What about Caitlyn as as spelling?

Thank you, you've been a big help. Caitlyn was on the table but having it spelled with a K just felt right. Normally the original spelling is preferred but in this case their are reasons against it. It had been just Kaitlyn for a long time but then Kaitlin had been suggested.

Glad to know you found my feedback helpful. :)Caitlyn is probably my favoured spelling, but I think the "original" spelling in this case is Caitlín? Which could be really difficult to actually use, given the accented spelling. I've spent my whole life spelling both my first and last names for people, but I imagine it would be extra awkward having to explain the accent. But anyway, I do like both Kaitlyn and Kaitlin. :)
