From what I've seen (living in Western Canada), Aidan (and its multiple variant spellings) has been used as a unisex name for at least ten years, and people were occasionally using Aiden for girls as far back as 20-30 years ago. The Aidan spelling does feel like the most masculine of them all, possibly because it ends in Dan.
