X has got to be Xanthe. Avoid Xanthippe like the plague!
Dalia, Delia, Delora, Delilah and Dakota:
Dalia is pleasantly exotic but would look odd on a non-Israeli.
Delia looks better than it sounds. That long eee just whines.
Delora? Never heard of it, and don't find it attractive.
Delilah is shackled to the naughty biblical lady and to the Tom Jones song, so no.
Dakota is fine in the context of geography and aircraft. Otherwise, not.
D names I like? Dinah, but not Diana. Deborah, but not Debra or Debbie. Damaris. Dillian (GP). Dorothea and Dorothy, but not Dolly or Dottie. Daisy, nicest of the flower names.
