I don't like it in context either. I used it in reference to CN's post. No personal affront taken, btw.
Honestly, the only time I see this differentiation (as in working class versus upper class means something in terms of quality) is online for names.
I think some of us make the same mistake when we think names are too "pompous" for use or something too. We assign it a class based on our opinion, which may or may not be even accurate.
I hope being working class isn't undesirable, since I am working class myself!
