Dorothea
What's your opinion of Dorothea nn Thea? ~ Always end the name of your child with a vowel, so that when you yell the name will carry ~

It is rather a mouthful! Though I was at school with a pleasant one who never went by any nn at all.Much better than Theodora. If I had to, I'd rather go for Dorothy on grounds of rhythm and length, but you'd have to point a gun at me. Even though Dorothy is a family name.

It's lovely one of the frilliest names I like. I prefer Theodora, but also love Dorothea. I also love Thea.

I adore it! I've also been flirting with Dorotea recently.

I like it, although my preferred nickname is Dora. I was considering Dorotea for my top 10 before a relative used it.

Well, I have about a million Dorotheas in my family line, so it isn't wildly appealing to me, but I see how others would like it. It is more sophisticated than spunky Dorothy, which I like.

I love Dorothea! I think I've gotten to the point where I prefer it to Dorothy. Thea is nice but not for me. I'd be much more inclined to go for Dodie, or Dot, or Dolly, or Dorit.

Dorothea is gorgeous! It's a bit clunky but I don't dislike that about it. I do think Thea takes away from the whole gorgeous name a bit, to be honest.Ultimately I prefer the simpler Dorothy; I think it's because of the y at the end, plus it doesn't need a nickname.
