I'm Danish.
My mom is Tove (no middle name) and my dad were Jan Bruno.
My younger is Kristoffer (no middle name like me).
Stepmother is Kirsten Margareta (She's Norwegian).
Stepsisters Monica Kristine and Vigdis (can't remember her middle name).
Stepfather is Søren.
Stepsisters Helene, Lise and Anne (none has middle names).

My mother wanted Marc to be spelled the French way, and she wrote it on the hospital form, but when the birth certificate came, it was spelled with a k. I suspect my father went and changed it. My father is VERY particular about names.

No, she was never called Camille and she hated Camille as much as she did Zoe and was never too happy about anyone finding out that Camille was her middle name.
I think the fact that she had hated having a then-unusual name is the very reason that she gave her children then-popular names that are now dated and seem pretty boring next to her name.
My mother's experience has made me aware that not everyone likes having an unusual name. As much as I always advocate against using very popular names, her experience has also made me not advocate for the highly unusual. Some people would rather blend in.
