Re: Some more considerations?
Dorothea - I'd say add Dorothy. Or Theodora. Dorothea is kinda hard for me to say.April - retro and I don't like the sound enough to favorite it, but it's a cool name.Isadora - *sigh* I know everyone thinks Isadora is a prettier spelling, but the name means "gift of Isis" and is spelled Isidora. "Isadora" is like Dametria or Nichalas - only more "sad." Add Isidora though - it's a beautiful name.Eden - this name feels very "strange" to me, not exotic but sort of aloof and mysterious and wise. I like it.Norah - I only like it with no H on the end. It's not a favorite because I get "negative" associations from the "no / nor" part ... I don't notice it on other people's kids, but I would if I called my own kid Nora.Everett - this is nice. Kind of holds the same style-place as Brett once did. Spiffy, but down to earth, not too preppy.Cyrus - love it. It's not a surname to me, and doesn't remind me of any pop stars. I know a Cyrus who's about 12 now. Easy name to say, and sounds nice and classic, grows up well.Arthur - I find Arthur to be very ugly and prim.Barnabas - I hate this name and would feel a little bad for any guy stuck with it.- mirfak
