Ludwig or Gustav? - Gustav seems to work better than Ludwig in English; I wouldn't shorten it to Gus though.
Leonard or Leopold? - Leonard seems tougher than flabby Leopold.
Anne or Ann? - Anne all the way. Ann is OK but looks unfinished.
Isabel or Anabel? - Isabel. Anabel is fine if you're Portuguese or Spanish, but otherwise it just looks anal.
Sara or Zara? - Zara, though I'd choose Sarah over Zara.
Aurora or Dawn? - Ouch! Pretentious or pleb? Neither, frankly.
Christian or Christopher? - Christopher I suppose, though Christiana is a family name. But both of them send out a message that isn't mine.
Eva or Ava? - Eva, hoping it'd shorten quietly to Eve!
Julia or Juliet? - Juliet all the way; much less smug. Only a mn, though - can't stand Julie.
Constantine or Valentine? - Constantine for its history and to avoid February 14.
Natasha or Natalia? - Both seem dated and silly. Neither.
Leonard or Leopold? - Leonard seems tougher than flabby Leopold.

Tricky to choose from
However I prefer
Gustav - such a charming name. Ludwig is great as well though
Leopold just, though I like Leonardo more then both
Anne - I prefer double n
Isabel - I like Anabel but think Isabel just a little nicer
Zara - a lot different to Sara and I like the Z sound
Aurora - is a lot prettier then Dawn in my opinion and a bit youthful as well
Christopher no real reason just think its a little nicer
Ava - I like the A instead of the E, though hard
Juliet - Julia is a bit to common and the et is a nice sound
Valentine - I think this is a beautiful handsome name
Natalia - I like the Talia and think its sounds a little nicer then Natasha
Edward - a tricky one but like the classical sound of this name
Wallace - handsome sounding name more so than Wilbur
Marie - a tricky one both a lovely and simple but the rie is a nice addition

Ludwig or Gustav? - Gustav - hard one, as I don't really like either. I'm going to go with Gustav, because Ludwig reminds me alternately of the words Luddite and wig, neither of which are particularly flattering, and because Gus is a decent nickname
Leonard or Leopold? - Leopold because it is more obviously shortened to Leo sound-wise and it's kingly. Leonard sounds more whiney to me.
Anne or Ann? - Anne. Looks more "finished"
Isabel or Anabel? - Isabel - just like it more
Sara or Zara? - can I pick Sara, but pronounced Sah-ruh rather than Sayr-uh instead? haha. I'll go with Zara then, since I like the longer-softer 'a' sounds in it.
Aurora or Dawn? - Aurora - more musical, and where I'm from Dawn sounds much like Don so it doesn't always sounds very feminine/can be confusing over the phone ;)
Christian or Christopher? - today I'd go with Christopher. I like both, but Christopher has more nickname options
Eva or Ava? - Ava (or Eva but pronounced like Ava ;) )
Julia or Juliet? - Juliet - once I would have picked Julia, but of late I'm more enamored of the longer Juliet. I like the ending sound - it trips off the tongue, and that it can be shortened or not.
Constantine or Valentine? - Valentine - Val is cool, Connie...not so much
Natasha or Natalia? - Natalia, no question.
Edward or Edmond? - Edmond. It needs it's day. Yeah, Edward might have more heft or solidity to it because 'ward' sounds a bit stronger than 'mond', but as I'm a fan of The Count of Monte Cristo and Lewis' Narnia books, (yes, not always flattering namesakes, but interesting characters) I go with Edmond. Oh, and I do prefer this French spelling to the English Edmund. :) (And I like the Irish Eamon/Eamonn too!)
Wilbur or Wallace? - Wallace, hands down. (even though I love Charlotte's Web :) )
Marie or Mary? - Marie for sure.
Leonard or Leopold? - Leopold because it is more obviously shortened to Leo sound-wise and it's kingly. Leonard sounds more whiney to me.
Anne or Ann? - Anne. Looks more "finished"
Isabel or Anabel? - Isabel - just like it more
