Letter Preferences?
Does anyone else feel like they are particularly drawn to certain letters?I feel like I'm much more likely to like names that start with A, E, C, M, & R over any others. This is particularly prominent with E & C (Eliza, Emmett, Emilien, Eilidh, Eleanor, Eamon; Claire, Cormac, Colin, Conan, Cora, Cassia, etc). I do really like the punchiness of 'F' names, too, but there aren't quite as many out there. If you are, which letters? Why?

Yes, indeed.Mine are A, C, E, K, L, M, S, and T. I find I'm particularly drawn to letters with soft sounds like M and sibilant sounds like S. The softness of vowels like A and E also draws me to names that start with those letters.

I like M and L names. I think because of melody, some gentle, smooth vibe they have.
Lillian, Linda, Lisa, Lynn, Laura, Louise, Luiza, Lucy, Luke, Louis, Liam, Logan... Melissa, Millicent, Milena, Maureen, Monika, Michelle, Merlin, Milan, Mikko...
F names are beautiful and fresh: e.g. Felicia/Felicja and Filip. I like also E, C and D names, D names for boys are very strong and masculine, and girl names are also strong, but by the other way. E names are just interesting in look and C names are interesting in sound. I also like names ending with -l. And boy names ending with -s are somehow unique for me, as well as girl names starting with S.

M, E, L, A, P, NI love M names! They have a very soft touch to them, and there is a family association regarding this letter.I also really like A, F, E, L, N and P names.F names sound very noble to me and so do E and L names.
L and N names also sound very soft.

Over the years I've become more drawn to names starting with A, J, and M - and feminine names beginning with C - and I like names that contain an N (but they don't necessarily have to start with the letter). I also tend to like boys' names beginning with D (and some girls' names, like Deirdre or Diana, but not as many).Other common letters in the names I like are L, O, R, S, and V. Names that begin with an o-sound feel much "cooler" (i.e. green or blue) to me than names that begin with the letter A (which often feel red). Also, these are the only names on my PNL that don't contain an A or E (which are rather ubiquitous letters in general):Dimitri
Dominic
Finn
Iris
Lily
Rhys
Ross
Ruby
Scott
Wilbur
WillowVery L-, O-, and R-heavy. And I guess I-heavy, too, but that doesn't seem to be a letter I notice much.

For girls, it's A, I, L and S. For boys, it's A and J. I don't really know why =P

J (obviously!), E, M, A, R and L. I seem to have a lot of names starting with those letters on my list.

Definitely A! My list is very top heavy. My absolute A favourites include:
Avielle, Afton, Aderyn, Alaia, Adelie, Aerie, Adelaide, Aeryn, Adeline, Adelina, Alba, Avaia, Alcyone, Anneliese, Arielle, Aglaia, Aveline, Ariana, Asha, Anouk, Annika, Ayelet, Adara, Alice, Adia, Aislinn, Althea, Amani, Amabel, Anthea,
August, Aurelian, Arthur, Asa, Asher (I don't like many boys names in general, so that's a lot)To a lesser extent I also love S names for girls:
Sonnet, Sylvie, Sorcha, Samara, Story, Saskia, Samira, Sana/Sanaa, Safiyyah, Sunrise, Siena, SuviNo, I have no idea why.

It seems that a lot of my favourite girls names begin with A, C, E, L, M and O.
For boys names its seems to be A, E, O as well but also D, H, B and F. There are not many girls names that I like with the letter B but a lot of boys names. Its interesting too think of why that would be.

My favorite letters seem to be C, L, and E. Especially E. Cs are yellow to me, Ls are green and Es are tan, so I guess I like tan names? I like softer colors, definitely.

A is my absolute favorite letter for a name to start with, but I'm also fond of C, E, L and S.
I'm a lot more fond of female names than male names...that's a pity.

Just going by my current pnl, apparently A and E (and to a slightly lesser extent, R), but as those are three of the most common letters used in English anyway, I'm not sure how much of that is me and how much of it is those letters just being very common in general.

I used to love M-names, but in the past few years I have realized that C-names almost always attract me. I think its because the C is so versatile in sound. The hard c automatically starts any name out with a bit of punch and spunk, and yet most C-names ooze strong femininity or soft masculinity to me. Both of the combos I happen to love. For example, Clarice, Calista, Carmen, Camille and Celeste are all strong choices, but have a very womanish vibe. Even the more spunky counterparts of Clarisse, Calixta, Carmel, Camilla and Celandine carry the strength and frill well. Then, take boys names like Cassian, Caspar, Cesar, Clive, Clint, Clark, Celso, Caspian, Cassius, or Carlisle... they are masculine for sure, but have a bit of soft frill as well. Its a smooth strength to me. Plus, it seems like all the CH-names are just classy (Charles, Charlotte, etc).
I still love the lilting sound of most M-names (Mireille, Melisande, Melody, Michelle, Morgan, Mitchell, etc)... but I would definitely root for C-names over any other letter.
* I also like the punchiness of F-names.

I seem to really like names that start with C, L, R, I, and E. I also love a lot of M and S names but forget about them more often.

I don't necessarily feel drawn to certain letters, but I do somehow end up with lots of favourites of the same letter. Three of my most loved names are Pandora, Phoenix (boy), and Ptolemy; all P names obviously but all with different sounds, which I think is pretty cool (same but different haha). I also seem to love a lot of vintage/nickname E girls' names Eliza, Edith/Edie, Elsie, Evie, Emmy etc. For girls' I seem to favour L, M, C and A names, but my boys names are all over the place, don't think I have enough boys favourites for there to be many with the same letter.

M, D, R, K (or hard C), SH, CH, and J.
Initial vowels A, E, and long I, but maybe not depending on what letter follows.
It's about the sound for me, more than the letters. You have Eamon listed with Emmett etc as though it rhymed lemon. Is that how you pronounce it? I thought it was AY-mon.

Haha, I never meant to make it sound like it rhymed with lemon. Ay-mon is how I say it too. It is just another 'E' name.

I am very drawn to J's, but don't have a particular reason why. More specifically, Ju-'s. Julia, June, Jude, Julian, Judith, Juniper. And Jean, John, Jack, Jerome, Joachim, Josepha, Johanna. These are among my very favorite names.Similarly to Ju's, I like Eu's. Eugenia, Eudora, Euphemia, Eulalia, Europa.I find D's very punchy, but there's not as much of a pattern with them. Demetri, David, Daniel, Dorothy, Domenica "Dinnie".I like a lot of M names, but I think that's just because there are a lot of M names to begin with.

I seem to be drawn to A, E, M and S names for girls, and A, J and M names for boys. I'm not sure why!

Yes. I feel drawn to G, E, I, A, L, M names generally. I think it's because they tend to have softer sounds or more "melody" to them. It's not that I consciously look for this, but if I think about my top names, they tend to have these characteristics.
