Re: Letter Preferences?
in reply to a message by Flora
I used to love M-names, but in the past few years I have realized that C-names almost always attract me. I think its because the C is so versatile in sound. The hard c automatically starts any name out with a bit of punch and spunk, and yet most C-names ooze strong femininity or soft masculinity to me. Both of the combos I happen to love. For example, Clarice, Calista, Carmen, Camille and Celeste are all strong choices, but have a very womanish vibe. Even the more spunky counterparts of Clarisse, Calixta, Carmel, Camilla and Celandine carry the strength and frill well. Then, take boys names like Cassian, Caspar, Cesar, Clive, Clint, Clark, Celso, Caspian, Cassius, or Carlisle... they are masculine for sure, but have a bit of soft frill as well. Its a smooth strength to me. Plus, it seems like all the CH-names are just classy (Charles, Charlotte, etc).
I still love the lilting sound of most M-names (Mireille, Melisande, Melody, Michelle, Morgan, Mitchell, etc)... but I would definitely root for C-names over any other letter.
* I also like the punchiness of F-names. ______________________________________________
