What names do you consider boring/without substance?
My mum's middle name is Lynn and she says it is boring and a "filler name". What do you think? Any other names you'd consider "filler names"?♦ ♦ ♦

You just reminded me of something I hadn't though of in years, a kids show called Pinky Dinky Doo. Man that was the bomb. Also I told my mum and she said Pinkity Dinkity Doo has more substance than Lynn and that she would prefer it.

I feel the same way about Lynn / Lynne / Lyn. It's pretty much a waste of a space on the bc as far as I'm concerned. I know many mns are referred to as "filler," but at least with many of them (Marie / Maria, Anne, Renee, Christine, Michelle, Nicole, Danielle, Rose, Grace, Elizabeth), they're attractive and I can understand the appeal.BTW, Lynne / Lynn features in my family as well as dh's.

James and Rose I consider filler names if they're in the MN slot but I like them for first names.First names I feel don't have any substance: Faye, Lee, Blake, Luke, and unfortunately, Jack. I love Jack to pieces but sometimes I can't help but feel that it's boring.

Lynn seems okay, though Lynette would be even better.Lynn is kinda a filler name, along with Marie, Rose, Elizabeth, Catherine, Ann, and Mae.

I think Lynn is fine as a first name. As a middle name, it's really just a syllable to fill the slot as blandly as possible... I was given Lynn as a middle name. I dropped it when I married, and put my maiden surname as my middle. Filler middle names (that are not so bad as first names)
Ann / Anne
Elizabeth
Lee
Grace
Rae
Mae
Rose
Ellen
Louise
ClaireGuy filler:
William - possibly the most boring name in the world, and as a middle name it's infinitely boring.
Joseph
James
Robert
Michael
Lee
Wayne
Charles
Paul
Louis
Thomas
Richard
David
Jonathanfiller-ish, to a lesser extent because I think they are able to add character, but they often are very boring in the middle name slot
Marie / Mary / Maria
Jean / Jeanne
Jane
Joan
Catherine / Katherine / Kate
Nicole
Beth
Margaret
Lillian
Irene
Helen / Helena / Elena
Emily, Emma
Ruth
