These are names that, no matter how much I might actually like some of them, I find to be "played out":Aidan / Aiden / Jayden et al...
Alexander "Alex"
Andrew
Brandon
Christian / Christopher "Chris"
David
James "Jim" / "Jimmy" (James is still in my Top 10, though, so I'm kind of a hypocrite)
John
Kevin (kind of a "trouble-maker" name for my generation, but I still like it)
Matthew "Matt"
Michael "Mike" (seriously, give this one a rest - most common male name I know)
Ryan
Stephen / Steven "Steve"
William "Will" / "Bill" (second most common male name I know)
&
Anna & Hannah
Ashley (I think I went to school with around 5 of them growing up)
Brittany / Britney / etc.
Charlotte (I used to like this name, then it got on my nerves - I now much prefer Carol, of which I've only met one)
Danielle
Elizabeth "Liz" (when I met a Beth, however, it was refreshing)
Emily & Emma
Hayley / Hailey / etc.

Kevin Mccallister. I had an obsession with him when I was younger and he's kind of my Christmas spirit animal. Love it. He's so cute

I like Giulia better than Julia. It's a shame it's so grossly overused in Italy.

Hayley, Cooper and Aiden variants!!

Don't know *anybody* named Cooper (is that a regional popularity thing?), but definitely agree on Hayley and Aiden et al...

I strongly dislike boring old Liz, and I never got the appeal of Mason. It's so ugly.

Just out of curiosity, what about Maxie (boy or girl), Maxelle--presumably female, or the traditional Maxine which is generally female?I continue hearing Barbara Feldon repeat "Oh, Max" - from the old Get Smart TV Show.
vote up1
True. I love max though.

For kids I always hear Ella, Isabella, Olivia
vote up1
Isabel gets on my nerves. I should have put that on there.
vote up1
Isabelle. It seems that every second girl is called Isabelle, and the name really gets on my nerves. All I hear is "Is a bell? Is a bell?" Is a bell WHAT?? Is a bell ringing? Is a bell needed on a bicycle? Isabella is even worse. If you will insist on using this name, make sure your last name does NOT complete the question! "Is a bell a Crabbe? Is a bell a Mason? Is a bell a Swan? Is a bell a Ball?" No! It's a bell!!Rant over (;
vote up1
I think Isabel / Isabelle is pretty (hate Isabella, though), and yet I agree. It's overkill. Every second child seems to have Isabel / Isabelle / Isabella in their name.
vote up1
I will never think of that the same again. Lol

Oliver, Michael, Arthur, Henry, Charles, Charlie, any name ending in -ana or -anna, Jane, Elizabeth, Aubrey (Audrey is nice though), Frederick, James, John, Anthony, Xander, Stella, Ella, Phillip, Anna, Grace
vote up1
I like Henry and Charles "Charlie" and Anthony, but I'm not going to pretend they're interesting names.Michael, Arthur, Elizabeth, Aubrey, Xander (!), Stella (!! This name is so dated, why's it come back?), Ella - all are annoying, in my opinion. Too much of a not very good thing.Anna's kinda pretty but it's so bland that I can't like it or hate it.
vote up1
I forgot Anthony. So true
