I don't think Xavier and Zane are too out there...Hayes is better than Haze

I think...BOYS:
Phoenix- I'm not much of a fan myself but I've heard this name a few times and on both genders. I think it's usable for a boy but not a girl.
Griffin- It's usable cos I've heard of a couple but I really don't get the appeal of it.
Sage- This is used more for girls where I'm from. I don't mind it but I wouldn't use it on a boy here.
River- Love it for both genders, definitely usable for a boy!
Storm- Believe it or not, I've heard this on a girl about 3 times but never on a boy. I think I like it on a boy though.
Haze -would Hayes be better? - I like both Haze and Hayes, they give me very different connotations though. It's a bit GPish...
Zane- I have a soft spot for Zane. It's definitely usable!
Xavier- Very usable, I have a soft spot for Xavier too.
Thatcher- Absolutely love Thatcher and would love to hear it IRL! Please use it.
GIRLS:
Meadow- NMS but I think it would fit well with the Willows, Harlows and Marlowes.
Nova- I knew a Neva... Nova could be usable I think.
Delta- Usable =)
Mildred- Yeah, probably not in this day and age...
Rain/Raine/Rayne- What about Reign?! It makes you think of a queen or princess. I like Rain/ Raine/ Rayne okay but I really like Reign. Plus, it's usable IMO
Raelyn- I knew a Raylene. I think Raelyn would fit with all the other -lyn names (which is exactly why I'd steer clear of it personally).
Tinley/Tenley- I don't actually mind Tinley, probably a bit GPish though.

Other than Griffin, yes. Sorry. They are tryndeer than a deconstructed spaghetti bolognese

BOYS:
Phoenix - really like it for a boy or a girl!
Griffin - the coolest boy I knew in school was named Griffin... it was always unique! really love this
Sage - like it... depending on a last name.
River - like it
Storm - don't really like it...
Haze -would Hayes be better? Hayes would be better to me...
Zane - I like it!
Xavier - Not so much
Thatcher - not so much... maybe okay depending on a last name.
GIRLS:
Meadow - not so much
Nova - could be pretty
Delta - love for a middle name
Mildred - Millie for short?! I love this one!
Rain/Raine/Rayne - okay... Raine is best to me.
Raelyn - Okay.. trendy
Tinley/Tenley - don't love it... trendy

I'd think twice about these:Sage - I think most people view it as a girls name.
Storm
Haze
Meadow
Nova - perfectly normal where I live though (Sweden)
Delta
Mildred - not "too out there", but very old fashioned which I think people would react over

Phoenix: The only Phoenix I know is a girl. I think it's better on a girl, but I still dislike it.
Griffin: Doesn't seem very remarkable as a boys' name, as it's already pretty common as a last name.
Sage: This seems kind of cliched, and is so ambiguous it's not even funny.
River: Super-cliched, dumb on either one.
Storm: Also very cliched. My best friend from Oklahoma always wanted to name her first child Storm. I forget if it was to be on a girl or boy or if she would use it for both. Turned out she couldn't use it because their last name was Flood, and Storm Flood is just ridiculous. So she named their dog Storm.
Haze -would Hayes be better? Not a very attractive thing to be named after. Hayes makes more sense but still sounds exactly the same as Haze.
Zane: Pretty well-known as a first name, however, it is also the pen name of a fairly famous female writer of "urban erotica."
Xavier: Don't like it but it's pperfectly unremarkable now.
Thatcher: Reminds me of pubic hair, or Margaret Thatcher. I sure wouldn't want it for my name.
GIRLS:
Meadow: Just sounds dumb. Also the only human Meadow anybody recognizes, and probably the only reason it got to be used much at all, was the daughter on the Sopranos.
Nova: A Chevy.
Delta: Name the kids Delta and Thatcher. lol No, it's not very attractive, hillbilly and dated. Delta Burke on Designing Women. Delta Dawn.
Mildred: Ug lee. Being ironic is not a good reason to name anybody Mildred.
Rain/Raine/Rayne: Cliche clishay clichet.
Raelyn: Kind of country but not bad.
Tinley/Tenley: blah.

I'm not a native English speaker, that might be why I don't know what you mean with "GP's"..
About the names:Phoenix -> Not a name where I live, don't really like it as a name
Griffin -> Dog.
Sage -> Like it.
River -> Pretty.
Storm -> Like it.
Haze -would Hayes be better? -> Definitely. Haze seems way to "dystopian young adult novel"-ish.
Zane -> Don't like it.
Xavier -> Not a name used where I live. Don't really like it.
Thatcher -> Heavy connotation to Margeret...GIRLS:
Meadow _> alright
Nova -> I love this one myself a lot :3
Delta -> Haven't seen it used as a name before but I suppose there's nothing wrong with it.
Mildred -> I know it as an old lady's name.
Rain/Raine/Rayne -> I definitely prefer the former. The other two seem unncessarily complicated.
Raelyn -> Have'n't heard of it before. It sounds like a name, and looks pretty, but it does appear to be one of those names that's spellt with ae and y for no reason. Would you consider Ralin or Raylin?
Tinley/Tenley -> Never heard it before. I suppose I prefer the second one because ti doesn't have the literal substance 'tin' in it, but I generally don't like "-let/ly"- names.

Not at all; I hope you feel free to use them. I am generally indifferent to spelling variations, so spell whichever names as you deem fit.

I think they're all perfectly usable.
The only thing I want to add, Hayes would be a lot better than Haze.

I don't find Storm, Haze and Rain very usable, but I there is nothing against spelling them a little different and thereby making them usable.I likePhoenix
Griffin
Sage
River
ThatcherDelta
Tenley - would probably prefer this one on a boy

average joe would find any of the following too bizarre or unusable?
BOYS:
Phoenix - not out there
Griffin - not out there
Sage - different but not strange
River - different but not unheard of
Storm - yes, out there
Haze -would Hayes be better? - haze makes me think of weed but it's a GP for me. I like Hayes. It's out there but the Hayes spelling kind of mainstreams it. Just looks like another last name as a fn. Still different though.
Zane - on the borderline of out there and just "different"
Xavier - not out there
Thatcher - different but not out there
GIRLS:
Meadow - a little hippy-dippy sounding but not weird
Nova - out there but it's getting more popular
Delta - not out there but makes think of Southern women circa 1940
Mildred - its an older, recognizable name so not out there to me. Might sound out of place on a little one but that's no big deal
Rain/Raine/Rayne - different
Raelyn - not out there
Tinley/Tenley - different but not too crazy

BOYS:
Phoenix - usable. I like it.
Griffin - usable. I like it, and am one degree from knowing one.
Sage - usable. I don't like it.
River - usable, and one of my favorites.
Storm - more on the flakey side, but def usable.
Haze -would Hayes be better? - Haze makes me think of purple haze and marijuana. Also fraternity hazing. Hayes is not much different, only surnamier. I dislike it. I guess it is usable, though. Hayes more so than Haze.
Zane - usable, and I like it.
Xavier - very usable, and I like it.
Thatcher - usable, but such a yuppie surname name. Like Sawyer, Fletcher, Cooper.
GIRLS:
Meadow - usable. I overheard a girl being called it. It's flakey, but not as much so as it seems on paper.
Nova - usable. I dislike it... too violent (I think of supernovae)
Delta - usable, very unusual but not flakey
Mildred - usable, hipster clunky like Myrtle or Beulah
Rain/Raine/Rayne - usable. Flakey about like Meadow
Raelyn - usable, I met one. Don't like it - it doesn't sound like a name to me.
Tinley/Tenley - usable. I knew a Tenley who would be 50ish now. Tinley is unappealing though, makes me think of tinmen and tinsel.

Most of your boys names are fine. Phoenix and Griffin are two favourite names of mine and particulary Griffin is not that out there in my opinion, Phoenix might be a bit but not in a bad way. Also Zane,Xavier and Thatcher are fine in my opinion not to unusual or bizarre.
Sage I love for a girl, but I think a boy might be bit bizarre.River it would make a great middle name and is not to unusual a first name. I think Storm is a bit too bizarre personally. Nova, Delta, Mildred and Rain are not to unusual or bizarre. I do think Raelyn, Tinley and Meadow are a bit unusual.

I think these are usable:Phoenix
Griffin
Zane
ThatcherNova
Delta
Mildred
Rain / Raine / Rayne
RaelynThe only one that really stands out as really bizarre to me is Haze. The rest I've all seen before in birth announcements.

Haze I think so. Hayes would indeed be better, I knew a Hayes who was a girl and it was way less alarming than Haze would be.I think all of the girl ones are fine. Delta's the oddest and it's pretty quirky and cool. Would love to meet one... Maybe I will soon!
vote up1
All of those seem pretty hunky-dory to me, considering trends these days. I think maybe Storm and Haze might be the only ones that are a bit out-there for me. Hayes is great, though. Delta is a bit odd, but not too crazy.

you need to meet the kid. Once you see him/her, you will know if the name is right. Then name the kid whatever you want.

Zane, Xavier, and Thatcher would be TOTALLY fine.
Phoenix, Griffin, and River would be fine for my area, and I'd use Sage too, though some might assume a Sage is a girl.
I would wonder if the parents of a Haze were stoned. Hayes is much much better.Nova is absolutely fine, and I'd say Delta is too.
Raelyn, Tinley, and Tenley all fit right in with trendy names these days. NMS but I think they are not too "out there" by today's standards.
Rain and Meadow are a bit hippy but they would fit in in my area.
Mildred is very out of style (people associate it with mildew these days).

I haven't met any, but I don't hate:Delta

Not sure if they're too "out there", but I dislike them anyway:Haze

Thatcher
Raelyn
Tinley / Tenley
