My guess is some people hate it because...
1. It's difficult to pronounce or they don't like the look/sound
2. They think it's too weird or eccentric
3. They don't like that it's associated with Arthurian legend (maybe it sounds too fantasy-themed?)
I like it, though. I love the sound.
