On first inspection the names are similar enough to fit together as siblings but they're not as similar as say, Olivia and Olive!
The pattern is that both names start and end with the same letter, have v in the centre and are three letters long...
HOWEVER
One is two syllables long and the other is one. One has a predominant AY sound and the other has EE. Ava doesn't really lend itself to be nicknmamed whereas I know some Eves who prefer to go by Evie or get their name shorted to E.
In real life I think they work and it doesn't jump out at me for being tacky or ridiculous.
