Aw, boo. When I see stuff like that, whether they knew they were essentially the same name or not, I always think it's such a missed opportunity at branching out!
And in this case the names look and sound so similar too, I'm sure it will get confusing. I have a friend with 4 daughters and 2 are Charlotte and Caroline. They at least aren't as obviously variants of the same, but still, I was like nnnggg.
