What names come to mind for a post-apocalyptic society?

I wrote a post-apocalyptic short story set on Mars where people had names from Astronomy, but I confess I got the idea from Karen Bao's Dove arising (although they live on the Moon in that novel).

I think names would become more conservative. Family names would be big, as nostalgia for "the good old days". Religious names would be big, and religion in general would get stronger, as people grasp for meaning in a worsening world.

Hehe, that is an interesting question! You can keep names normal or go all Hunger Games and Mad Max style! For my post-apocalyptic story I used these names: Simon
November "Nova" ( female)
Reese (female)
Michelle "Mo"
Pfieffer (female)
Astrid "Astra"
Joseph
Verena "Vera"
Arianna "Ria" But you pick whatever you feel like naming them!
