I wrote a post-apocalyptic short story set on Mars where people had names from Astronomy, but I confess I got the idea from Karen Bao's Dove arising (although they live on the Moon in that novel).

I think names would become more conservative. Family names would be big, as nostalgia for "the good old days". Religious names would be big, and religion in general would get stronger, as people grasp for meaning in a worsening world.

Like... Sunny, Mercury, Warm, Furiosa (Mad Max), Terra, Mars, Stella, Paradise, Golden, Leaf, Buble, Happiness, Smile, Lynx, Sevilla, Red, Prince, Rain, Universe, Oak, Berlin, Silver, Strong, Wit, Fox, Washington, Pretty, Sky, Teddy...something like this.

I feel like post-apocalyptic names would no longer be gendered.
