Celosia...I like it! How about Cece for a nn? I know it's kinda inevitable, but that was all I could think of! lolCale reminds me too much of the veggie, so I wouldn't use it at all.

I really like Celosia, but I'm not a fan of Cale. I think Celosia has a cool meaning, interesting and unusual, but accessible. If I had to, I'd probably use Elsie as a nn, but I can also think of:
Sia
Celly
Ellie
Ella
Lo
Losie (like Josie with an L)
Sisi/Cece

I went to look up Celosia in the submitted names database and discovered that I was the one who submitted it. I guess that means I probably liked it at some point! ;) I think it's really pretty. I'm not sure if I would use it for my daughter because I would worry that some middle school boy would google it and discover the term "cockscomb," but I guess just about every name has teasing potential so it's not a huge deal-breaker. Maybe Ceci for a nickname?Celosia and Caleb go pretty well together, I think. Caleb Alexander "Cale"
Caleb Ezekiel "Cale"
Caleb Isaiah "Cale"
Caleb Harvey "Cale"
Caleb Malachi "Cale"
Caleb Remiel "Cale"Celosia Aderyn
Celosia Blanche
Celosia Camille
Celosia Carys
Celosia Katriel
Celosia Winifred

Celosia is different, I kinda like it. Losia, Loie.Kale is a vegetable. It's a GP (I like the vegetable) but I'd never use it or Cale. It doesn't make sense from Calvin (different sound) and Caleb doesn't need a nickname ( so it seems contrived to link the two).

I have a cousin named Cale (short for Calvin) so I didn't even think of the association with Kale. :) I think it could probably be overlooked.
