I always find it strange kids starting school when it's not September yet (summer school being an exception) where I'm from, it always started the first or second week of September no matter the grade. August (even the very end of it) would still be considered vacation. Guess that's just what I'm used to \:

When I went to school we never started until after Labor Day. But seems like each year now they are going back earlier and earlier!

That's a bit wonkers. I never went or have known anyone going to typical schooling while it was still August. I believe the earliest for me was September 1st or 2nd, many times after labor day, other times not.
In the future, they'd probably have it so that "August" (the entire month) is no longer considered a vacation month for students. I find it odd because I don't associate the month of August (any date) with typical public schooling. But that's me I guess \:

Yeah their 1st day to school here in Va. was August 22nd. It is alittle weird for me too. But who am I? LOL! :)

I like most of them, but the ones that stand out for me are Niara and Lariah. I'd love to know what ethnicity they are and what their names mean!
