Most people, and I mean probably 90% although there's no real way of measuring this, don't give a rip about name origins and meanings.
When I get a chance, I will ask my daughter, "Why did you use the names Abraham and Thaddeus although you are an atheist?" Because I actually don't know what her answer will be, although I do know that both boys were given the names in part after an historical person.
