Re: A few girl-y names

Molly / Mollie: the second is a type of fish. Stick with Molly.
Polly / Pollie: Eh, I would need a full name for this one.
Holly / Hollie: I've never liked this name, though I like the idea of Holly. Hollie is a bad spelling. You could also use the longer name Holliday and Holly or Hollie as a nickname.
Milly / Millie: I like it better than the full, Millicent.
Sally / Sallie: Sally Draper ruined this a little for me, although I didn't have much of an opinion of it beforehand except as the storybook character a la Dick and Jane and Sally.
Poppy / Poppie: Poppie is even worse than Poppy. I get more of a pimple vibe. Yech.
Becky / Beckie: Eww. No.
Dolly / Dollie: Dolly has potential, but its still a very southern nickname. I think Dixie will come into fashion sooner.
Dotty / Dottie: Okay, but prefer as a nickname to Dorothy.
Netty / Nettie: No. Not my thing.
Nelly / Nellie: Okay, but the first version always makes me think of the "hot in herre" rapper.
Penny / Pennie: The first is okay, and I much prefer it over its lengthened version, Penelope. The latter looks terrible.
Elly / Ellie: Cute, overused.
Tilly / Tillie: Sweet.
