I love Luna! Luna Selene or Luna Hunter would be great.

I absolutely love Luna! Of course, my first thought is Luna Lovegood, as she made me love the name years ago in the first place. The "moon" meaning and the goddess make it all the more beautiful. The only reason it's not higher on my list is its popularity. Also, it sounds like lunatic and loony (like Luna was called Loony in HP). I'd still consider using it if not for its popularity though.

My main association is surprisingly not Luna Lovegood, but Luna the cat from Sailor Moon.I think Luna is beautiful.

As others have said, Luna Lovegood and the moon. I can't think of anything besides them. It's one of my favorites and I love the idea of twins named Celeste and Luna.

I really like the sound of it - it's short, sweet and feminine.I don't have the Harry Potter association (never read the books), I think of the moon. However, I don't like how it's then related to "lunatic". That's the only negative I can think of.

It's lovely. My friend named her eldest (now 15) Luna. It's a beautiful graceful name I think. I've read the Harry Potter books but I associate the name with the moon before thinking of HP...

LovegoodLuna Lovegood from Harry Potter will be most people's first thoughts for at least the next decade.
Also, the Greek goddess of the moon.
I'm not a fan.

Despite knowing the origin, my primary association is that it sounds/looks like a portmanteau of Lucy and Edna. I'm fond of Lucy but not so much of Edna...so the lu- makes it seem sweet and bright, while the -na seems alternately frumpy and quirky. I also associate it with the moon goddess and Luna Lovegood.I like it in some combos (for example, Luna Simone, John Legend's daughter), but overall, I want to like it more than I actually do.

I associate it with Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter. It's one of those names I like for a while and then dislike. I'm neutral now, almost starting to like it again.I have a co-worker with two daughters named Luna and Liliana.

Split about 60/40 between associations of the character Luna Lovegood and the moon Goddess. Both of these are positive associations and I really like the name. It's hovered in and out of my Top Ten and been on my long list for years. It's also one of the only names my partner and I both like!

It sounds like a goofy, flaky, airheaded person, to be honest, or a weird, crunchy-granola line of feminine-hygiene products.

I think it's a sweet name! I used to only prefer it on dogs and cats, but I'm starting to like it, too.
