Interesting fight!
Verena has a better sound but it is too similar to an Italian town called Verona. This association is very strong for me so I would not choose it in real life.
Arianna has a worse sound (I dislike -anna end) but it is a perfect Italian name so a good choice because I love mythology too.
I would choose Arianna even if it isn't among my favourites.
