Twins, twins and then twins
So a family that's originally from Africa have started at my child care centre. So far, the parents have two sets of twins with a third set on the way (and the oldest twins have only just turned 4!). I don't know whether to call it luck or something else =P Their names are: Stella (g) and Perven (b)
Angel (g) and Miricle (b)WDYT? Obviously Perven is not going to be a pleasant name to have in an English-speaking country and, if I'm perfectly honest, I feel dirty just saying it. I like the name Angel but I would have thought the names of the second set of twins would have worked better on the opposite genders. Also, Miricle is not a typo. And, what would you name your two sets of b/g twins? What would you name a third set (any gender combination)? I'll post mine as a response as I've said enough!

I like Stella and Angel, but I think I would change Angel for Angelica if I had to choose in that category. I'm so lost in what my children would be named if I had one today. But I think I would go for something like this: Vera Marie & Thor Magnus
Alma Helene & Tobias
Kristiana & Eirik Alexander

Jasper Warren & Hazel Imogen
Theodore Fyfe & Guinevere Cascille
Asa Ronan & Lyra Dagmar

Wow, three sets of twins! What are the odds of that?! I've read about a Swedish family who got two sets of twins (first two boys, then two girls), but THREE?! Stella is the only name I like. Perven is AWFUL. Angel is too sugar-sweet and Miricle would be sugar-sweet even if it wasn't misspelled.I would name the new twins Emmy and Simon. My own twins would be Tua and Oscar!

Not a fan of any of those name! Perven is awful, poor child, I can't imagine the ridicule!I don't mind Miracle - but Miricle is a step too far.My 3 twin-sets would be:Octavia and Reuben
Natasha and JonahandAlice and Isaac OR Alice and Ivy OR Isaac and Parker:-)

Holy Fertility! Three sets of twins in four years is an amazing feat. The only name I remotely care for is Stella and I'm in agreement with you re: Perven. He may want to go by his mn at some point. My sets (It boggles the mind to even consider this!):Leo Gabriel and Marina Charlotte
Adam Christopher and Juliet Susanna
Cora Mae and Louisa Marigold

The only name I'm fine with is Stella. The others are awful IMO especially Perven. Oh my!I would love to have B\G twins the most. Either that or have 2 children of the opposite gender so if I decide to settle with having only 2 children or cannot have a 3rd for whatever reason, I'd be blessed with having a son and a daughter. What I would name b\g twins (which is also what I would name "typical" b\g siblings)Lydia Alice or Lydia Faye
Cole EmersonLydia & Cole are my #1 names for each gender. I love them! Alice as well. Faye & Emerson would be honoring names. (:

The only name I remotely like is Stella, and I'm not a huge fan of that. For me:
Sylvia and Gustav (Sylvie and Gus)
Eleanor and Charles (Nellie and Charlie)
Lucia and Abraham (Luci and Abe)

RE: MIRICLE ...I know a lot of people who hail from African countries and use common English virtue names with alternate spellings (Paishence, Bleszing, etc). I think it is the same as us naming our kids things like Adora or Jolie or Anessa or Barak. Those are all legitimate words in other languages, some with slight tweaks to spelling. As for the other names you listed, I totally agree with the unfortunate sound of Perven. I assume he will go by the full name or Ven hopefully. Stella and Angel are lovely.
As for me, I would name B/G twins:
Royce and Annette

Yeah, Perven doesn't translate well, although I kind of like how it looks. Parven would be better. I used to know a Miracle, but she was a girl, her sister was Hope I think. I'm not the biggest fan of Stella, but I like the meaning. Angel is okay, but a bit saccharine for me. Three sets of twins in a row really is something, I'm assuming there's some genetics involved seeing as the first two are fraternal. I don't know if I could manage, but they'd be fun to name. I'd probably call them my favourite names, that I'd use for singles:Pandora Valencia Fae & Caspian Sherlock Walter
Evanthe Georgiana Clio & Ptolemy Lysander Albert
Marigold Clara Hermione & Artemis Rosalind Amy
Marigold Clara Hermione & Horatio Phoenix Arthur
Horatio Phoenix Arthur & Nikolai Emrys Altair

Hmm ... I couldn't match your family's style if I practised for a month. Today, mine would be:Ian Victor and Beatrice Jean
Peter David and Helen SusannahAlice Emily and Celia Bryony
Hugo Daniel and Gareth William
Laura Gillian and Adrian MarinusETA: thinking, reluctantly, about poor little Perven, it looks and no doubt sounds like a merger between Percy and Mervyn, so if anyone ever sits the family down and explains a few things to them, either of those names could easily be used as a replacement. When I was a child, I met adult brothers who were Percy and Mervyn - very nice men, as I recall. Family friends. I'd prefer Mervyn but only just.

Stella got lucky. Perven is less than ideal in an English speaking country. Miricle makes me stabby. Angel just gets an eye roll.Xanthe Opal Esther

Hi !!!Pervin is a variant of Parvin and Parvin is the Persian names for the Pleiades. So Stella and Parven is a perfect and beautiful combo.Angel and Miricle is also good although I prefer 'Miracle'.This family has changed the names letter for using them at the opposite gender so Parvin which is feminine became Parven masculine and Miracle became Miricle. I would use Miracle as the original because I think it is unisex. I like this family a lot!
They chose beautiful names with a theme for each set!I'm a twin too!
So I have more chances to have twins in future.A future set with g/b?
It is hard because I have few masculime names that I like. I'm Italian so I will choose my own country names if I think about future children.Let's try...Luna and Romeo
Dora and Valentino
Angelica and BasilioByeeeeeee
