OliviaAnastasia is too much for me.

OliviaOlivia really sparkles for me in a way that Anastasia does not. Literary, fun, and friendly. Even though they are equally long to say (in my accent at least), Olivia is snappier and, frankly, I can take her more seriously. I don't think Anastasia is bad but I do think she's unfortunately been cheapened a bit by Disney. :/ It's also very Russian to me, and since I'm not Russian I'd feel a bit weird using it.

20 Century Fox did the Anastasia movie, not Disney!Unless you're talking about Cinderella's step sister Anastasia?

AnastasiaI don't like Olivia at all.

OliviaOlivia because as much as I dislike how popular it has become I love it too much. I will always associate it with a dear friend from elementary school, back when it was an uncommon name. I also love the nn's Liv and Livie. If the name wasn't so popular it would probably be on my favorite girl's name list.Anastasia is just too dramatic. It feels over the top as a fn. I only care for it as a mn.

Anastasia is too long for daily use, and though it could comfortably generate Anne as a nn, it's more likely to turn into Stacy, which I find lacking in personality as well as being dated.Olivia, then. It's a family name, but the bearer of it (born between 1900 and 1910, I guess) chose to go by Olive instead. I dislike Olive, though I loved my distant aunt, but Olivia is much better.

AnastasiaI think that Anastasia is very pretty and underused.Olivia is nice enough but it is so popular where I live that I'm completely bored with it.

Anastasia definitely. Has more substance and style in my opinion. Plus it's not as popular/over used.

AnastasiaNo particular reason, I just like it better.

Anastasia, for sure.Anastasia. Olivia is way too common and overused. Anastasia has a nice and exotic flow to it. Can be shortened to; Stacie, Stasia, Sasha, Anne, Anna, Tessie, Nettie, etc.. Olivia just shortens to Liv, Livy, Oly, Ola, etc..

AnastasiaI used to love the tragic story of Grand Duchess Anastasia when I was a young girl. It got me interested in reincarnation and secret conspiracy theories and history. So Anastasia has more magic to it than Olivia, and I would choose that one.

Anastasia is far more beautiful and familiar without being overly used. Olivia seems like a fancy olive and was hugely popular a couple of years ago.

AnastasiaI adore Russian names and I actually like the nicknames for Anastasia, which isn't the case for most longer names.

Oliviait's the name of my favorite One Direction song (off its album, anyway lol), so it has a very good association for me! Plus, Anastasia is harder to type. lol

AnastasiaIt's more interesting to me given the popularity of Olivia.

Absolutely Anastasia. Even if I had liked Olivia to begin with, its popularity would have put me off by now. Whereas Anastasia is beautiful in full and has a great range of possible nns.

AnastasiaOlivia is so popular, and quite boring in my opinion. Plus it's the name of a girl in my year, and it just feels kind of awkward right now, same for Olive and Liv. I like Anastasia as A-nuh-STAH-zee-uh, I just prefer the sound to the other pronunciation. It has history, and I love the nickname options.

AnastasiaBecause as a child I really LOVED Lois Lowry's books about Anastasia Krupnik. I even wrote my own books about a Swedish Anastasia!

OliviaOlivia is popular for a reason: it's a nice name, although I slightly prefer Livia for reasons of Romanity.
I'd prefer plain Anna to Anastasia - too many pronunciations, too many nns, too much fuss.

OliviaAnastasia is a little 1990s to me, and is also a bit of a mouthful. I sort of like it sometimes.

OliviaPopularity aside, I think it's prettier.

Anastasia, though Olivera is pretty interesting!

Anastasia because Olivia is way too popular for my liking

AnastasiaNo question.
I love the name Anastasia, while I'm kind of meh on Olivia, and that's aside from the fact that it's top ten, which I'd never consider.

AnastasiaAnastasia -- It's more intriguing and less common. It also offers more nn options. It's a name I briefly considered for my youngest dd, Anna. Sometimes I wish I'd gone with Anastasia, however, dh was really loving Anna and I had preggo brain at the time so there 'ya go.

Anastasia!!!Hi !!!Anastasia is one of my favourite names!
I love it since I was a child.Generally I love names with Ancient Greek origin.
Their melody is beautiful..pronounced in Russian and Italian They are familiar to me because the Greek and Roman mythology os commonly studed here. After that it means "resurrection" a glorious meaning which is linked to life, death and new lives. Finally it is used by the last Russian Royal Family.
It reminds me that "golden world" made of family trees, traditions and splendor that a royal life is in our imaginary.Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee

AnastasiaWithout a doubt I'd go for Anastasia. Not only is it far less popular than Olivia, but the history is fascinating, as well as the meaning ("she will rise again"). In fact, the combo Anastasia Lily is currently in my Top 10.
