Eli
I have a hard time finding any nice names for boys but this one has been growing on me. What do you think of Eli pr. ee-LY? Is it too common? It was rising for some time but has fallen out of the top 50 again. Do you think many of the little boys named Elijah get called Eli?

I love the name Eli, I have a four year old nephew with this name. We also considered it for DS#1's mn. I think a lot of Elijahs would get Eli for short, but if you love the name I wouldn't let that put you off.

I think it feels very common. I know many of them. Some are just Eli, some are Elijah, some are Elias. All are popular, making Eli even more common! My nephew is Elijah "Eli." He gets called both. Not sure what he's mainly called at school.

I actually have a best friend named Elijah and he does not go by Eli. In fact, the only one who does call him Eli is his mother, occasionally. I've only ever met one Eli and I live in the US. I think it's a fine and handsome name to use, so if you like it, go for it!Please vote on my PNL! (-:
