Re: A few boys names
I prefer Edward for Ted - it feels more sturdy and British and historical, but Theodore is okay.
Morgan, Dominic, & Rory are all fine: I like Rory as a full name
Everett & Wyatt are a pair of old American geezers & I just don't like the sound of Caleb.
Rafferty is just too trendy & surnamey for me, and Rufus makes me think of red setters.
Tobias does sound good with Patience. I do think it's very likely to be shortened once he gets to school, though - if not to Toby, then Tobes or something similar. (My cousin Toby got Tobocop and Toby-Wan, amongst others)
I like Ivor - it's got a nice turn-of-the-last-century vibe, it's simple but unusual, it sounds pleasant to my ears, but it does sound like 'I've a' & might not be good with some last names.
Alfred is okay but I'd probably call him Al, just to definitively swerve any chance of some elderly relative calling him Alfie and it sticking
