Usually I'm really against popularity, but in your case I think it's fine. Florence is popular, and it's trending upwards, so I think it might rise at least a little. I wouldn't use it for a child because of that, but for an adult it's not like you'll be bumping into loads of Florence's your age as a baby Florence might. Especially if you don't know any, I think it's fine. It's a name that's been around for a while too, so it won't sound juvenile or strange on an adult.
