Well, at least Brandy sounds name-y - similar names like Brandon, Brenda, Mandy, etc. are probably part of what drove it up.
I actually don't even associate the name Brandy with the drink anymore, I think of the singer who just goes by Brandy.

Brandy is a skilled singer. She made an excellent Cinderella, and her duet with Whitney Houston, who played the fairy god-mother, was excellent.
