"Ick" Names
What are some names that have an "ick" factor for you? Names that make you shudder or make a face? For me it would be, to start...Philander (obviously too close to Philanderer for me)
Pervis (makes me think of pervert)
Lester (makes me think of molester)
Candida (obviously the yeast infection)
Melena (blood in your poop)

People usually say Damon in response to this sort of question, which makes me sad because it's one of my favorite names. They also often say Scarlett (scar).Names that I have "ick" word associations for - with associated words in brackets in case it's not obvious. I don't think I actually make a face or shudder ... not usually anyway ...Felicity (fellatio; illicitly)
Felix (feel licks)
Addison ('s disease)
Fallon (phallus)
Agnes (acne)
Blaine (chilblains)
Sebastian (seborrhea)
Capucine (monkeys)
Ichabod (ichor)
Lucas (mucus)
Celia (celiac, cilia)
Memphis (symphysis pubis? I dunno, but ick.)
Chloris, Cletus

Ha, Memphis itself is a little ick (though my beloved home). People should at least good for the sparklier Nashville if they're going to name their kid after a city in TN.

Those are really good examples. I'm particularly with you on Addison, Capucine, and Chloris (clitoris anyone?).

Some of those are cool.I hate the Jayden, Cayden, Blayden, Crayden, Rayden, etc trend.Shaniqua, LaTifa, SheQuandra, etc.
To me, the worst names are the made up ones, lacking etymology and history.

I wasn't really looking for names you don't like as much as names that are sort of gross or icky in a way that makes you think of bad, disgusting, horrible things like diseases, evil, filth, etc.

Thats not really what I mean. I mean names that you find gross not because you just dislike them but becasue they make you think of dirty, disgusting type of things.
