Aidan
I was just reminded of how much I used to love this name until Aiden, Ayden, Aaden etc. came along. What do you think of Aidan? Still usable?

Totally usable, but I find it boring now.

I've always found it bland and uninteresting; come to think about it, that's also pretty much how I feel about Andrew, so perhaps it's the sounds.

I like Aidan a lot, but I actually prefer the Aiden spelling. As popular as the name is, I've only ever met one (my best friends sister's toddler).

I like it, more so as a guilty pleasure - I wouldn't use it on a son. I prefer Aedan. It's still usable :)

I've always preferred Aodhan.Aidan has become too ubiquitous even for me.

Yeah Aidan is usable, but honestly I'm sick of it. It seems like 90% of kids I know with the name (any spelling) are complete nightmares.

I prefer Aodhán, although that's probably only usable in Ireland.

It's okay. Of all the possible spellings of this name I think Aidan is the best, but it's still kind of - whiny? It's still usable in the sense that many people are still using it but -aden names are so bland and overused at this point that I even see a lot of non name nerd people complaining about them, and they're all dropping fast.

Aidan was my favourite name in high school, but when I got to university it exploded in popularity, along with all its rhyming buddies. I still mourn its loss, but it's simply too overused.

I like Aidan, but my preferred spelling is Aiden. I've known a few, and I have too many negative connotations to use it for a child, but yeah, it's a nice name.Do you prefer Aidan/variant spelling on a boy or a girl?

My preferred spelling is Aiden, although it used to be Aidan. Of course it's still usable! :)

I prefer Adrian by a large degree but Aiden\Aidan etc is decent too. My preferred spelling is Aidan. And still usable? Yep, very much so.

I used to love it too. Áedán is my favorite spelling followed by Aidan. Aidan always makes me think of Aidan Quinn, an actor who was kind of big in the 80's but is pretty obscure now.
Aidan is definitely still usable but it's a boring and unexpected choice.
