Mary SophiaNot what you were expecting when you asked for 'interesting'? Well, what is interesting to me is well-balanced, tasteful, timeless, and easy to live with; it isn't so much about scouring the lists for a name that is rarely used to stamp on a child as a parent's personal trademark.

If it doesn't interest you, why use it?I know a Helen Sophia Caroline whose parents always intended to use Sophia but they put the other two names in the order that pleased them most - they are her grandmothers' names. So that's a possibility, perhaps.

It does interest me. It's beautiful and has a long history. But it's extremely common, and "generic" combos like Sophia Grace and Sophia Katherine make it blend in even more. I guess I was looking for suggestions of rare names that would make it stand out a little more.
