It seems only a madep between Nina and a 'el' suffix.I much prefer it if I consider the Russian meaning lol.Ninelle has the same problem. It only seems a madeup one.They are similar to the Sindarin (JRR Tolkien) name Niniel meaning 'weeping maiden'(tearing girl). So it is not a joyful meaning. I dislike it. I prefer the simple Ninette.Another similar name I'm interested in is the Armenian Nariné (I read in is a book by Grangé).I also like the Russian diminutive of Nina ...
