Brainstorm some boy names?
I've realized there aren't very many boy names that I can think of that I'd actually use on a baby. The list right now off the top of my head:
Brennan
Ronan (but this might be getting too popular. Same with Brennan actually but I'm in denial about that because Brennan is pronabably what I'd have to use if I had a boy right now)
Peregrine (middle name only for now)
Names that used to be on the list (gathered from memory and PNL) and why they left it (if I remember):
Tristan (too popular*)
Kai (idk, I think I liked it as a middle name but now I prefer longer middle names)
Falcon (too wordy maybe? I like a lot of word names in general tough)
Kieran ( too popular)
Bran (idk, I still like it but probably only if it's short for Brannon and I prefer Brennan anyway)
Gabriel (I hate the nickname Gabe and I have a friend named Gabriel)
Roran (too much of a tounge twister)
Rohan (I like it but Ronan is still easier to say)
Brennus (I prefer Brennan)
Corvus
Aeron (Aaron is boring and realistically they sound the same even if Aeron looks more interesting)
Orpheus (for a middle name. Maybe...)
Orion (lost some of its appeal the first time I met one IRL)
Talon (same reason as Orion)
Darwin (I don't really like the sound that much)
Dorian (too attractive almost? I think it sounds "hot", so it would be weird to give to a baby)
Corbin
Corin (I suppose this could go back on the list... as long as it wouldn't turn into "Cory")
Andreas (want to avoid "Andy")
Eamon
Emrys
Ewan
Owen
Lucas
Merlin (middle name)
Nico (too common?)
Perrin
Rune (middle name, probably)
Sylvan (this should probably go back on)
Taliesin (middle name)
Madoc (don't like the sound anymore)
Marten So... anyone want to try to talk me back into the names I used to want to use, or suggest some new ones?
Or combos if you feel like it?There's also the problem of me liking first names that end with "n", and my last name starts with "n"... but I'll cross that bridge when I have kids lol
*I don't dislike popularity in general-- Gabriel is popular and I still like it. I think it's just that the vibe of some names has changed for me, like how Tristan lost its medeival feel when I started meeting more IRL.

Off your list, I like Marten, Lucas, Owen, Corbin, Bran, Tristan, Orion, and Darwin. My suggestions for your list will be Gerard, Ethan, Kynaston, Wolfgang, Alastair, Declan, Rainier, Joran, and Solomon.

From your list I think you should keep:Gabriel
Kieran (not too popular? 540 US and 268 UK. Where are you from?)
Owen
Corin - I hate "Cory" too, it's quite likely to happen though I think. Maybe Rin?
Kai
Rune - makes an awesome middle name!A lot of those end in the "n" sound, so probably not the best with your surname. Good as middle names though :)How about:Alaric
Alasdair
Arthur
August
Brandur
Cassius
Dashiell
Emeric
Evander
Everett
Ezekiel
Ivar
Magnus
Patrick
Remiel
Rhys
Shiloh
Teague
Tobias
Walter
