Satine
Hi !!!WDYTO the name Satine? It is feminine and used for the French Belle Époque main character of musical 'Moulin Rouge!' Played by Nicole Kidman in 2001.The meaning is uncertain but probably it is from the fabric satin.I loved that movie and I think it is a very sweet name for a beautiful woman that Satine is there.I think it would go perfectly also in real life as other names...why not!Actually I think that it is already used in France!!

I find it a little trashy, tbh. It sounds like a “please welcome to the stage the luscious...” name.

I like it, but I think it works better for a cat (a Siamese, perhaps) than for a person.

I loved this name when I was in 8th and 9th grade after I had first seen the movie but as I thought about it more I decided that it is a bit cheesy since it's obviously based on the word Satin. Also I realized that it sounds a bit too similar to saltine. It is still kind of a GP name to me, but Sabine is prettier and more useable.

It makes me think of satin. It's cute but the character in the movie had a sad fate :( I also think it's a bit cold sounding. I often find names that start with the letter S to be a bit harsh. I think I haven't had a name that starts with S on my list for quite a long time. I sort of like Sara, Skye and Stella but not enough to use.

saltine crackersI *want* to like Satine, but it makes me think of saltine crackers before anything else. Can’t say I’m a fan.

I like it but it sounds like saltine (crackers)

I like it, but it bothers me a bit that it sounds a bit like Satan. That doesn't ruin it though.

I like it, but it isn't a favorite. It definitely feels like a real name though to me because of its similarity to Sabine.
