Hi !!!
I found that in Italy there is a rare name (but still used as in 2016 less than five babies were given this name) that is Brenno.
Brenno via Latin Brennus could be the Italian form of three Celtic names: Brennan, Brendan and Bran.
I was surprised in a positive way that it exist! Well..it is rare yes, but not extinct yet!

Like you, I'm glad to see it and surprised that it exists.
I dislike Brennan: it looks and sounds sloppy even though it isn't. Bran is lovely in its own context, but everywhere else it's too breakfast-cereal.
I like Brendan very much indeed and might have used it as a mn if I'd had enough sons. But I'd have been much more likely to use Brendon instead, though I like it less, because it is the name of my son's best friend since they were three years old. He's a fine person that I'd be happy to honour.
