Nice names, mostly!
Would you use Archibald, or always Archie? I'd be happier with just Archie (I dated an Archie once. He tossed cabers!), but I like Frederick with Fred(die) as nns.
I like both Hamish and James, so I'd test them to find out which was best with the surname.
I also like Angus, and Fergus, but I'm not so happy with Gus as a nn. Magnus? Marcus?
What about Ruaridh or indeed Rory?
I think Evie needs to be short for something: Evelyn or Eva or Eve. Or, Lyneve blows my skirt right up!
Adalind looks unfinished and would surely lead to a lifetime of explanations. Just Ada? Adrienne?
Ivy and Ruby are both more popular than I can understand, and not particularly Scottish at that. They wouldn't make a list of mine.
My favourites, both of which I'd use, are Daisy and Penelope (Penny). Could Margaret work? Or Annabel? Both with a lovely long tradition of use in Scotland. Or Flora, though not if she'll be a McDonald! Fiona is pretty, but rather recent. Alison? Matilda?
