Re: For your contemplation
Agatha: Used to dislike and thought of it as a harridan's name a few years back. I now see the beauty of it, though it is not a name I can ever see myself using. Agnes of the other hand...horrible. Agnes is one of those "blatantly bad" names.Gisella (prefer this spelling) I really don't care for, just never have. I think of it as "One of those that tries to sound pretty but instead fails and sounds more awkward and clumsy"
The upside that it as "Ella, Ellie" to fall back on (:
The "Gis" part makes the name look pretty much revolting.
Maren: Neutral towards, not much to say about it. Meike: My-e-kuh? I'm clueless on the pronunciation, sorry.Veronika: LOVE! I prefer the spelling of Veronica though. It's one of those names that sounds very beautiful and attractive to me. A name I wouldn't mind using for a child :DHudson: Used to be a fan but now I just feel very "meh" about it. Neutral towards.
Henry Hudson-The Hudson river, Hudson valley all spring to mind

Agnes is endearing IMO. Very popular in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway right now. Have to say I don’t like Ella or Ellie at all so thanks for pointing that out!

Oh, OKMIE-kə or MAY-kəI like the Mie-kə but it sounds just like the boys name Mika\Micah and I really don't care for the other pronunciation.

Micah and Mika are not the same name and are not pronounced the same way. Mika is also a feminine Japanese name.

From information I gathered years ago, Mika has two pronunciations and can be said just like Micah. Oh well.

Well where is your “information” from? Sounds like someone just assuming the pronunciation. It’s not related to Mika and both origins of Mika have the same MEE-ka pronunciation.
