Re: Alexandra
I do really like Alexandra although I know several people with similar names. I have a nephew named Alex, another nephew with Alexander as his mn, and two good friends who used this for their children (Alexandra, nn Allie; Alexander, nn Alex). In addition, my children have had friends named Alexandra, Alexander and Alejandra. Even though I'm very fond of Alexandra, I'm not sure I'd ever use it. Still, I don't believe it's as common as Alexis and I don't think it's plain at all. Having said all that, I prefer Alessandra."Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.
