No surprise that Liam is popular. Most of these names are really nice. Do these characters only list names for French-speaking Quebecois or do they take into account English-speaking Quebecois too?

I believe this list is for all babies born in Quebec. The site doesn't specify otherwise.

Alexis and Charlie are interesting, especially Alexis for a boy and it is nice that it is that popular. Raphael is nice as well, though I kind of like Rafael more. And Rosalie is stunning.

Alexis for a boy is pretty common in French-speaking regions.

That is interesting. I really like it for a boy, now.

Complete datahttps://www.rrq.gouv.qc.ca/en/enfants/banque_prenoms/Pages/recherche_par_popularite.aspx?AnRefBp=2017&NbPre=0If you click "Last" on each list, you can go down all the way to 1 birth and see things like Ziggy Love Sparrow.

There are an awful lot of -Rose names on the girls' side, which is interesting. I also noticed Anaeve and Anna-Eve - haven't heard of that combo before, it's really pretty imo

I’m a bit surprised not to see traditional French names in the top 10 here (except Rosalie and Alexis). It seems a bit unexpected that Quebec would follow the same trends as Anglo Canada.

I live in a French-speaking town(in New Brunswick, though, not Quebec), and I always read the birth announcements. A surprising number of the names are Anglo ones. Not all, though-Oceane(sorry, can't do the accent)is quite popular.

I've met people from French-speaking countries with English names. A couple of months ago I met a young man from France named Logan.

Most of them are French. I'm assuming that, like the SSA list, they don't count accents.

They count hyphens (which the SSA does not do) but they do strip out accents. Lea is probably Léa, for instance.
