Haha, I just searched it and apparently it's from the Bible, but I thought it was Maori or from some Native American language! Cool name, but not exactly my style. Makes me think of the manowar jellyfish.

It reminds me of the Minoans. I'm honestly not a fan.
My first thought was that maybe his parents had gone on vacation near Manoa around the time he was born...but it turned out to be an obscure biblical reference, so...I dunno...I like the meaning. I don't think it sounds bad...sort of generic but less so than Noah (well, actually, it sounds like "my Noah"), which would have been less common around the time he was born...and it maybe seems strong and gentle/soft/quiet, which I like...
