HelpRe: Name Jersey for a girl.

I don't like it at all. But, I am from NY so I cannot imagine why anyone would want to name their kid Jersey (cultural prejudice!).
That said (and hopefully you didn't take it offensively), I also don't like the material reference. I wouldn't choose Rayon or Cotton for a kid either.
The sound of Jersey is not terrible.
What about names with similar sounds like Linsey or Jerusha?
