Violet, which i've considered anyway partly to honor my aunt Ibolya.

RoseHands down. It's simple, beautiful, works as a full name but also could elongate it to "Rosie" without much of an issue if you wanted something to carry or something more "cutesy".Rose is on my long list anyway and has had flutters inside my top 10.
This year I've taught a little girl called Lily and one called Tia-Lilly; the name Lily has grown on me because of these gorgeous young namesakes but I'm aware of it's popularity. Rose doesn't feel as popular.

I’d go with Hyacinth or Iris. They’re both strong, substantive, and still beautiful.

Rose is already my own middle name, and a family name on both my mother's and father's sides. If it were my daughter's first name, it would appear much less... "filler." I didn't like Rose as a child, but it has grown on me significantly as I've gotten older. As for which one I simply like the most, it would be Iris. I would also consider Jasmine, Violet, Lily, and Dahlia.

Rose, because I like the elegance and simplicity.I also like Magnolia and Iris, but Magnolia can be a bit OTT and I don't actually like irises so it'd be weird to use.

Iris or Rose from your listI'd also consider Linnea, Lilac, Celandine, and Eglantine.

DaisyI'd go the Daisy route: cheerful, easy-going little flowers, Chaucer's favourite or so he said, and it honours my friend Desiree, whose preschool nn it was.My other option would be Iris: perhaps the least sentimental flower of them all.

Magnolia. I love it.

From that list I'd pick Magnolia for an older sister or Lily for a younger sister. I also like Wisteria and Zinnia.

From your list, I'd pick Violet. It's the one I could most see myself using irl.
vote up1
Right now, Iris, but I also love Rose and Violet.

Rose, just so I could use the nn of Rosie, which I really love. Rose should be used more often as a first name. I would also consider Iris, Violet, Lily and Jasmine, and Marigold with the nn of Goldie :)

Normally I would go with Violet but a family member used it as a middle name and we're too close for me to use it, even as a first, so I think I will go with Rose.

IrisThese would be on the short list...Camellia
Azalea
Amaryllis
IrisI like some others but only as middle names. So, from your list, Iris.
From my list, today, Camellia.

Rose. Although I said earlier that it's underused as a first name, I do see now it's gaining in popularity. I'd still use it until and unless it gets into the top fifty.

JasmineI like Jasmine. Second choice would be Violet, and third would be Magnolia.
vote up1
Of your list, I like Violet. I personally love Marigold, Amaryllis, Azalea, and Calluna. I also adore Heath on boys.
(a GP of mine is Begonia, but I know most hate that)

Alice - or it will be when she gets here in a couple of days (or medical reasons, the birth is scheduled). :) We're panicking over the middle name, which is TBD, but that is another story.

Aw, Alice is a sweet name for a little girl! Congrats! How about Alice Josephine? Two solid classics.

From the list I'd choose Iris since the flowers are meaningful to me. I enjoy the simplicity of the name as well.Choosing any other name I'd like I'd go for Betony, Aster, or Marigold.
