(Girls) New in the Top 1000 - 2018 - Projections
Every year I 'project' the next years top 1000+, using the assumption that everything will move exactly as it had the year before. Obviously that's not true, since pop culture effects the charts in ways I can't necessarily predict, but it does work fairly well as a prediction method.Last year, I correctly predicted these would appear on the 2017 chart:Lyanna, Legacy, Octavia, Egypt, Xiomara, Marlowe, Jurnee, Magdalena, Opal, Treasure, Florence, Everlee, Renee, Sonia, Emberly, Oaklyn, India--Here's the list of girls that are projected to appear on the top 1000 for 2018. The ones that I bolded are names that I predicted last year as well (if they appear twice, they're still rising, just at a slower-than-predicted rate-- I think, but am not sure because this is the first time I've compared, this makes them more likely to appear, but we'll see). They are in order of highest projected rank to lowest (which functions as a "most to least likely"). You can also consider this a glimpse of what's happening off chart-- many of these had very big rises from 2016 to 2017.Emmarie

HarrietLast year, I got 33% of my girls predictions correct-- so 18 of these need to be right next year to match that. If you want, tell me which 18 (or more) you think are most likely.
Here are the names that are projected to fall off the list to make room:Adele, Adrienne, Aliya, Anabelle, Aranza, Arely, Aryanna, Breanna, Brenda, Brenna, Brittany, Carla, Carlee, Caylee, Chana, Clare, Courtney, Dana, Ellison, Emilee, Estrella, Evalyn, Hadlee, Holland, Ingrid, Itzayana, Jayden, Jazlynn, Jessa, Kailyn, Karlie, Kassandra, Kaylin, Kenya, Kiana, Kristina, Malani, Miah, Milena, Miya, Monserrat, Nataly, Nathalia, Naya, Paityn, Patricia, Susan, Sylvie, Taliyah, Tegan, Tenley, Vada, Yamileth, Zendaya
I'll have a boy's list later. WDYT?

I like or sort of like these ones: Emmarie
Nailah
Amaia
August (Not on a girl of course. At least the spelling isn't butchered, unlike Maisyn whichever and Blayke. Seriously, what even...)
Winnie
Eleanora
Sally
Asia
Elia
Dalia
Robin
Raya
Ila
Freyja
Elodie (Hoping and also hoping to see Elowen chart some year)
Saniyah
Indie
Etta
Milah
MalayahI'm honestly shaking my head to many of the names. For example, I'll never understand the appeal of 'sley' suffix names, 'leigh\lee' suffix variants, 'Y' replacement to "feminize" a name and titles as names. (Unsure if any further examples I can give) ugh...From the names "supposingly" leaving, I'll be sad to see: Brenna, JESSA, Sylvie (Though much prefer it as a nn) & Susan go. Also Naya even though I personally prefer a different spelling
